Re: More detail... (The things I don't know.)

I am personally torn between two opposing poles.

While I do believe that this is the greatest country to has ever be on the face of this earth. And while I do believe that this country was established for a purpose within a devine plan. I am at odd with the recital of a pledge (basically an oath) to a flag which repersents an earthly government which is becoming more and more anti-christian and anti-Bible in my opinion.

St. Matthew, Chapter 5, verses 33 thru 36, in the King James speaks of our lack of authority to make oaths. If the Pledge of Allegience is a meaningless recital then why make a ritual out of saying it? If it is not a meaningless recital and is a process to demonstrate our unfettered devotion to a piece of cloth and what it repersents, then I have a problem with it.

It is either meaningless or it is not, one way or the other. And the fact that men place a value on the pledges recital and judge people according to their stance on this matter means that it is not meaningless. And that it is intended to have devotional qualities.

Remember that our forefathers were made to swear a simular pledge in order to regain their Constitutional rights as citizens of this country.
