Re: More detail... (The things I don't know.)

You all know my family fought under the Stars and Bars and the CBF, with the ANV. As POWs, they were paroled after the war without taking the oath, thus being forced to walk home. Nevertheless, they became sucessful citizens and lived long and productive lives in Georgia. They were part of their times. I served under the US flag for twenty years, having sworn to defend and uphold the Constitution. That oath was, and is, to my country, not the current idiots in charge. Fortunately, we can change them next year. They do not have lifetime control, nor are their heirs entitled to rule, as was the case under kings. I can be loyal to God, and my country, which was born under His Providence. We cannot simply give up and ignore its problems, nor can we sucessfully secede again. We must be involved and take back control. The Pledge reminds us of what we can lose, and are in danger of losing, without our vigilence. I do not think that is being disloyal to my ancestors, but is working to assure what they tried in their way to accomplish.
