Uhmm, when you were here, stopping may not have been a good idea. There was some rather X rated activity going on at The Chimney. Now it's been cleaned up and you can stop. I have a book with the old markers in it and I'm real happy they put them on line so they new ones show up too. There are some in hard to get to places.

There are some new ones going up every year and that's what keeps us hopping during the Fiesta Treasure Hunt. At least, we learn local history when we play it. There were a couple of mills in this area of the bay burned by the Confederates as they left the area. That's also where a lot of the brickyard owners lived. Those bluffs are where it's said DeLaRua buried the county records when the Union came to town and they were unearthed after the war intact.
