I went to the Historical Maps of Alabama-- Mobile County--- I found a 1889 map that pinpoints the location of the factory ruins just as my memory remembered-- it is listed as "factory" on the map. Now, of what existed in 1965, none exist, the ruins are totally gone. Wow! What fun.
