The hard part is there is no O.R. to jump to. I have found Official Reports reprinted in newspapers, and I have just started going over them. Mississippi's greatest contribution to the Battle of New Orleans would be Major Hind's Dragoons, and the Choctaw warriors they were the bravest of the brave. It is difficult to nail down where and when Mississippi forces arrived and what they did at New Orleans, but they were there. Also, at the same time, they other Mississippi units were detached to hunt down the Creeks in Florida.
