I'm a dog lover and this really touched me. The dog is the only friend man has on this planet that can be kicked in the rear end and still run to you when you call. How's that for loyalty? Can you picture the sight of this dog showing his teeth to the entire Confederate army? It's as if he said about his master "Not while I live".
Now, where's my tissues :-)
