Ah,Alice,a great job,that is it!! That is definitely it! Yes, I am familiar with the tragic story of Welsy Culp, how horrible. I was not aware of the letter he was carrying for Jennie, that gave me chill bumps. Tragic that his body was not recovered. Thanks for finding the painting and for posting that story as well!!
