Most were Shepherds. They were not trained any differently than those in WWII. The major difference I see is the perception of the Viet Nam war and the troops who fought it were somehow tainted. Those men were not welcomed home as were those in WWII and now. People in airports applaud troops going through. I was not thanked for my service until about 2006, in a McDonald's. I make it a point to thank those in uniform with whom I come in contact. Stan
