Another Female Soldier

New York, Times- BALTIMORE, Sunday, Oct. 6, 1861.

The officers of the Provost Police arrested in this city, last evening, a female, in military attire, who gives the following curious statement in regard to hersell, and which reflects but very little credit upon the commanding officers of one of the Pennsylvania Regiments:

"My age is about nineteen; may name is HATTY ROBINSON, of Auburn, New-York. I was induced by Col. KNIPE, of the Forty-sixth Pennsylvania Regiment, to go with him to Washington. I am married to Lieut. FULLER, of Company F, of that regiment. I was arrested at the hotel near the Northern Central Railroad depot, where my sex was discovered. I was on my way to Harrisburgh, Penn., where I intended to change my apparel for female attire, and return to the regiment, at Washington, as nurse. I have no father, mother, brother or sister. My uncle is clerk at the Franklin Hotel, in Harrisburgh. His name is GEORGE WHITNEY. It has been about seven months since I put on boys' clothes.

All the officers of the regiment are aware of my sex, including the surgeon and assistant. I was regularly enlisted, and was examined by a doctor, at Harrisburgh, Penn. I don't recollect his name. The examination was private. He was tall and portly -- black hair, whiskers and eyes. Col. KNIPE bought my ticket from Washington to Baltimore. I went by the name of CHARLIS D. KNIPE. My guardian is W.H. PICKETT, of Harrisburgh. Col. KNIPE is about thirty-five years of age. I drank about four glasses of ale at the hotel, and this I consider the cause of my arrest and discovery. The party who raised the Company in which I enlisted at Harrisburgh lived next the jail. The Major bought my ticket at Washington, and not the Colonel, as I before stated. I wish you [to the officer] would telegraph to Col. KNIPE that CHARLES D. FULLER is here."

The man who raised the company alluded to, at Harrisburgh, and transferred it to Col. KNIPE, is supposed to be WM. BURBECK.
