Mr. Roberts I am doing research on a sword presented in 1860 to then Brigadier General Albert Sidney Johnston. I have reason to believe it was this sword, no other, he wore at Shiloh. The meticulous sculptor A. Doyle, in consultation with Col. William Preston Johnston placed a representation of that sword on the Metairie monument in 1886-87. God love ya! BF
