Interesting. A couple of my Mom's many-greats-grandmothers (a mother and daughter) were among the early Mobilians, and were captured by Indians and marched naked to Pensacola back in the very early 1700s. Upon arrival there, they were recognized by the British officers at the garrison as members of Mobile "society" and were returned - released or ransomed, I'm not sure which - to Mobile. Anyway, for whatever part your ancestors may have had in the release of my ancestors - Thanks!
