The first Boring came from Ireland to Baltimore in 1688. We then spread South and Northwest. There were about fifty Borings on each side in the War, including my GG and two Great Uncles in the 18th Georgia, ANV. The McCollums landed in New Jersey in 1732. Both represented in the Revolutionary war. Isaac Boring and Peter McCollum received land grants in Georgia. Two of my GGGs. Stan
