One of the Friends of Fort DeRussy's legal advisors, a gentleman now in his 80s, was one of the students who threw Stormy in the lake. He still proudly tells the story to anyone who asks about it. For those of of you familiar with the LSU campus, the "pond" in question was just below the Indian mounds, where Graham Hall is now located.
