I understand. We've had the discussion on this 'miscarriage of justice' a few times on this board. It still hits hard that women, who were working to support their family, could be sent to the netherland and never accounted for by the ones sending them. For all of his sins, this was the worst for anyone connected to the government under Lincoln. He has the largest amount of blame. He chose his General's and he gave them orders to do whatever they wished.
