Too many of us accept the "Politically Correct" stance to avoid contriversy. But was that what our forefathers did? The mission of the Confederate Air Force was to preserve the warbirds of WW II because the Government wouldn't. It is my understand that this is why the name "Confederate" was adpoted in the first place instead of "Commemorative" as the organization grew.
