Re: Winning of the war
In Response To: Re: Winning of the war ()

Three people, that might have turned the tide----Longstreet-----Stonewall,(if he hadn't been wounded, and died) and Nathan Bedford Forest, to me their combined records, show their ability to lead, and as tacticians, both defensive, and ofensive,-----given, more leeway, to impliment, their tactics, would they, have been more, successful, than they were---As for Longstreet, and Bragg-----Bragg, was one of the worse, for argueing, and condeming, his superior officers---doesn't make it right, either way, after all, the object, is to win the war, for the SOUTH, no matter, who, got it done,---Lee, and George Washington, (by theirselves), weren't, that good of soldiers, but they surrounded, theirselves, with Soldiers, that were----on a level playing field, who would be most effective----Meade---Grant---Sherman, or Lee---Longstreet---Jackson---and--Forest?????? For what they had to work with, I take my hat off to the FLOWERS-of-the-SOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
