Don't you just love diversity?! My maternal GF was a Baptist Preacher. My wife's maternal GPs went to separate churches; he a Baptist, she a Methodist. After I got out of the Navy I attended a Methodist Church for a while, because I knew some of the members. If a Mt. Zion Methodist wanted to be baptized rather than sprinkled, we all met at Providence Baptist, up the road, and used their Baptismal Pool. I noted in Chief Upton's earlier post that in Charlottesville, four sects met in the Courthouse. Jefferson while President taught Sunday School in Congressional Chambers. What a stink would be raised now! These posts outline the reason for the First Amendment's protection of freedom OF religion, not FROM religion. If only such freedom were still recognized. Stan
