We have a couple of generations now that have been taught no US History. A local high school history teacher told my Granddaughter this year they had to start with the Civil War so they could get into civil rights. Now we fight an individual war against the PC machine just for our own children and grands to understand what we took for granted. The high school I graduated from in 1965 has been through riots and upheaval in the '70's and they changed the mascot and team name to Gators. We were and we grads still are Rebels from Escambia High School. Our fight song was Rebel Rouser and Dixie was played after the National Anthem at all school events. That's not happening now either. We who graduated as Rebels are still unreconstructed.

Our local UDC chapter is about as visible as the Battle Flag. They want new members but refuse to change their meeting day or time so we who work can attend.
