This all started out on the Alabama board, about the bust of Gen. Forrest being stolen. It got a little off subject so the web master asked us to take it to this board, which I did. I kept it up by long winded remarks that got even more off subject postings. But I see this morning that there is quite a reward being offered for the arrest and conviction of the person/persons responsible for this crime, which is fantastic. Hopefully this large reward will get the bust back, in one piece and unharmed. So I am going to give this thread a rest, it got way to far from the intened subject, which was my fault as much as anyone else's, probably more my fault.....History is a wonderful subject, a wonderful thing to help us in so many ways. The war is a deep subject which has had people for
150 years arguing about the causes, the battles,and the atrocities commited by the armies involved. Although there is a lot of documentation left, there is still room to "discuss" every move that either army or the political leaders made. So for me, we will discuss this later I am sure, but for now I just hope they find the person/persons involved in this crime and they get the max from the judicial system. Tom
