Why some wounded soldiers glowed?

Below is a website pertinent especially to The Battle of Shiloh. It mentions the combination of a bacteria and a parasitical worm. The bacteria would give off a luminescent glow in and about the wound of the soldier. Soldiers reffered to this phenomenom as "Angel Glow" because its evidence signified a better chance of the soldiers' survival. Something I had never heard before, Ron
