I couldn't help myself. I had to put my two cents in on that opinion site. They were gushing over the effectiveness of the Union ironclads on the Mississippi- especially the "City Class" boats. If you look at the whole picture, the Confederates really handled them pretty well, despite the poor policies from above, the local Southern military made the Union Navy or the Army boats pay for gains made.
