Ron Skellie and I have been complaining to each other for a while now about this so called update. I agree it is harder to use and seems less reliable. Fortunately I had downloaded most of the Rosters I need to help in my humble area. I have the entire High Pressure Brigade rosters downloaded and saved as TXT files. This includes the 7th, 9th, 10th, 41st and 44th Mississippi Infantry regiments as well as the 9th Battalion Mississippi Sharpshooters. Hopefully the NPS can smooth out the issues with this new version.

For what it is worth I have looked for a match to the John Thompson, 6th Mississippi Infantry you requested on the Mississippi board but have had no luck. I would suggest contacting Jim Huffman off that board and see if the man filed a pension.
