Not quite how I see it. If one is interested in something that 'may' be historical and 'really is' expensive, one would want some documentation. Sure, things are 'found' in yard sales and online a lot but it's not good to bet the farm on them. Historical items are in a whole different catagory and miles away from 'collectables' or shoes.

True story here. Years ago, my Son saw a family tree chart on EBay on my mom's family. He bought it thinking it would help me and my 'digging' but I'm glad he didn't pay more than $5.00 because the paper that came in the mail was a printout of some of the tree I'd posted on RootsWeb and it still had my name on the 'credits'.
