A few words about buying and selling --

If bananas are 39 cents a bunch, you don't expect much. On the other hand, the more money we're asked to invest, the more skeptical we should be. Unfortunately people are inclined to 'fall in love' with an item and believe all the claims made about it.

The same is true of politics. Someone played voter testimonials about the Democratic nominee for President in 2008. A woman who was obviously "all in" told an interviewer, if this man was elected, she'd never have to pay her mortgage or put gas in her car again. "If I help him, he'll help me."

Wonder what she thinks now....

If the purported Jeff Davis image could be had for little more than what's in our wallet, we'd probably decide it couldn't be real. Attach a higher price, and suudenly some folks are inclined to believe it's authentic.

That was a great story about your son and the family tree. If he learned to be skeptical as a result, it was worth every penny.
