GB's partner in this scene is David Barton. Like GB, Barton attempts to use American history to fit his own purposes. His most recent book is Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson. It's been withdrawn by the publisher [Thomas Nelson] due to the great number of factual errors found in the book. Should've been identified prior to press, but that's another issue.

This article provides a number of references to quotes by Barton from this book and others. As best I can determine, GB fabricated the story he presented about General Forrest and Fort Pillow. Evidently a number of reviewers have evidence that leave the impression that Barton did some fabrication of his own.
