Not a reenactment, the real deal, Civil War photo, Confederate troops march through the streets of Frederick, Maryland
Confederate troops are on the March to Washington, after the victories at Second Manassas and Chantilly. Families evacuate in Washington while nearby cities fear an immediate invasion.
Actually, Lee did not intend to invade Washington. He wanted to invade Maryland because he believed the state was sympathetic to the South and he could get new recruits, as well as supplies. He ended up fighting the battles of South Mountain and Antietam and then retreating back across the Potomac. Gettysburg didn't happen until 1863, when he came back into Maryland.
