Well, Chief, that sounds reasonable. I doubt it's very easy to shut up a Southerner. I attended Georgia State as an undergraduate and graduate student. We and the brothers and sisters, in the majority in the very urban city of Atlanta, were able to carry on spirited discourse without hurting too many feelings. I attended the University of Southern California Cinema School, which had its own building on campus. We were all Sailors and Marines, so were like minded and somewhat isolated. However, we were treated properly when about in other parts of the campus. At the end of my term, in 1965, the Watts riots erupted. I lived in an integrated community in south L.A., and, as I was leaving for Norfolk, some blacks and Latinos wanted to go with me. Stan
