I wish one would dig into it. It's really gotten me on the angry side since we do have some top notch marine archaeology schools in the area. Some of it may be financial. I read that the 'homeowner' with this relic in their 'yard' would have to pay for it to be removed even if it was for scientific study. I believe it would be a neat 'field' job or study for the students.
