Taken as a series of photos after the surrender at Fort Johnson, Charleston harbor. I have never seen this one before. It shows one of the Confederate patrol boats used around Charleston and a Confederate ironclad (unidentified) in the background. The ironclad must be the CSS Columbia, which was stuck on a summerged wreck between Fort Moultrie and Fort Johnson and abondoned. Later to be salvaged and taken to Norfolk by the US Navy.
