Whoa Alan I have not thought of the war of 1812 much. I know that I would not take the exact documents of the US COnstitution or the Articles of COnfederation. However, there has never been a group of people vindicated by histroy than the Anti Federalists. Their predictions might as well have been in the Revelatons of John. Please don't get me wrong, the bill of rights are a blessing that were largely given to us by the Anti-Federalists, but many aspects of the US COnstitution have got to go.
Giving politicians six year terms is hideous, giving 5 unelected officials that much power over 310 million people is as ridiculous as it can get. The last statement was about the supreme court. The power for the president to veto the votes of 66 senators and almost 300 house members is too much like having a dictator. We have to retturn to a COnfederation style government. HAs anyone realized the day they completed the COnstitution in Philly is the same date as Sharpsburg. Many Anti -federalists predicted a war between the States and Washington if the COnstitution was signed. Well.....
