Re: Confederate Soldier's grave found

Pam, there was a timber boom in the South, particularly in the early 20th Century. There was quite a lot of virgin timber in Louisiana and much more in East Texas. That made some of my ancestors who migrated to East Texas (or were already here) quite wealthy. Then came the Great Depression. But, timber was and still is. a vital commerce in the South.
