I just came across this forum thread and saw your posting. I happen to be the guy who wrote that article and owns the pic. you seem to know a lot about Hills Saddle. do you know where its at? Ironically, I just today recieved an email from another Gentleman who authored two books on CS saddlery. he could confirmed the saddle in the pic. is a texas style spanish version. which is why he felt that the man couldnt be Hill because it would be unlikely a CS officer would use a texas style saddle. Now I see where you see know he did. intresting. so thats another point of why this could indeed be Hill.

let me know if you know where that saddle is.
