Surrender/Parole Ledgers

I was name searching through a computerized Union Surrender/Parole Ledgers of General Taylor's Department of Alabama and Mississippi. I was looking for one man. He is listed as surrendered and paroled at least five times, in two different locations, at different times- for five different outfits. Apparently, the process was one big "pencil whip". It looks as if commands turned in their muster rolls and copied them over to the Surrender/Parole ledger; and not having the ability to cross reference, as we can today, listed the same man over and over. This one man surrendered/paroled in Jackson, Mississippi- four times, and in Gainesville, Alabama, once (I believe this to be his true parole location since his last command was the 4th Miss. Cavalry). It was interesting to see him surrender and parole on Mississippi State/Reserve list and even one for the Confederate Signal Corps.
