Oh that eraser has been working overtime for the last 25 years. I've gone past disheartened and am into disgusted mode. It's up to us to teach our children well because they will not get anything positive from our history in the classroom. Now, it's not just Confederate heritage under the moving eraser. Yesterday, I caught someone on FOX talking about a teacher, a gentleman who had been teaching for many years, just up and quit. He refused to teach the garbage they are now getting in their plans. He said the Hammer and Sickle were not going to be displayed in his room. That wasn't a figure of speech, it was the actual flag they were told to discuss and teach it's history.

The teachers get 'important points' to stress from the main resource department. There and here in Florida, it's a website just for that. I've spoken to a couple of my teachers and they haven't seen anything like that-----yet. I'm still trying to understand why the Scholastic on the inauguration kept calling the POTUS by his first name. This was for 2nd grade!!! When did it get to be ok for young students to call any important figure by their first name?

I'm glad I'm old.

Pam
