You're probably right Joe. Just in land mass most Confederate States were larger then many, at that time, in the Union. The only real problem was the need for open ports, river routes or rail lines. It appears the Union figured that out early on. That and the seemingly endless supply of men was the real advantage the Union had. Sadly, that was the South's undoing.

I find this air rifle really interesting. More the fact that it existed as early as Lewis & Clark. Had the South been armed with them and maybe a few F18's or F35's, there's no doubt what flag would be flying at our state houses. The way things are looking, if posession is 9/10's, the South does have the last two. I know a lot of people are understanding the South's 'real' point much better than before.
