Re: retaliation act of 1865 and the Lincoln movie

I'm glad you mentioned this. I have not seen the movie and those who have insisted I do are not all that into real facts regarding Lincoln. WE know the truth when it comes to the prisons. There's too much evidence out there to show them in any good light. It's the lack of knowledge and just plain disinterest from the general public that keeps it buried. I know a couple of people who really thought the North had NO prisons but they knew of the horrors of Andersonville. It's enough to make ya want to cry. :(

Lincoln was a politician. As such, he was like all others. Sleazy, slimey, sneaky and not as advertised. Just my opinion though. :b
