That was 16 years ago, and have times changed. Is history going to repeat itself? Is this nation going to remain one nation? With our population equally split in almost every respect, in every political idea- has the internet and 24 hour news broadcast created a growing split in ideas- with constant and uncontrolled confrontation and disrespect between two halves of our own people. Why are we at each others throat? Who is behind this constant tearing down of our "perpetual union"? I have never seen so many claims of "un-american" charges against Americans from Americans in my life, not even during the Vietnam War were we this divided.
