Re: Southern warriors in today's literature

Very interesting David. I have known about black and Japanese regiments in the U.S. Army during WWII, but never heard of units, Army or Navy, comprised of men from particular regions. My father told me that his destroyer crew had sailors from all over, including New York, Texas, Oklahoma, and California.
