Re: Time, timekeeping, time of day

This has been very interesting and made we read about stuff I haven't thought much about since 9th grade science class. Makes my head spin trying to keep track of whether to add or subtract. I'm with you now.

Sunset would have been about 6 PM local solar time which is about 6:40 PM EST or 7:40 PM EDT. Jim aned I were there (at the Philemon Baldwin Monument) at 7 PM EDT and Baldwin was killed there in the dark at about 7 PM "local solar time" which was about 8:40 PM EDT.
