Re: 50,000 slaves
In Response To: 50,000 slaves ()

So, the United States Army was buying slaves. Human beings. While doing this, they made no effort to remove the human being from the other human being who claimed to own the said human being. This being accomplished to fight others who may, or may not, own human beings. This 'fight' was to free the human beings owned, or not, by the other side of human beings. The US Army, that entity that bought human beings, said it's leader did not believe human beings should be owned. Someone probably forgot to tell the human being freer that his army was paying for human beings and there'd be a deficit in the budget once the purchased human beings discovered they could not be owned by human beings and they hauled boogy.

Hmm, me thinks there were a lot of people who talked out of both sides of their mouth in the Army or Government of the United States. This has definitely been hidden from history book authors.
