Ms. McCrumb tells the story that Tom Dula was a lover to both Laura Foster and Anne Melton who were cousins of a sort. A lot of people seem to think that Anne killed Laura out of jealousy even though Anne was married to James Melton (who I may be related to distantly, small world, huh). Again Ms. McCrumb states that it was a third female cousin, also a lover of Dula who really killed Laura. Dula being only guilty of hiding the body. Whatever happen if Zeb Vance couldn't get you off in North Carolina you were in big trouble. That was really interesting about your ancestors part in all this, thanks.
