It would take some time but.......

I just returned from the Rose Library in the Woodruff building at the Emory University in Atlanta.

I went through their Confederate letter collection only to notice one so-called Confederate was really a Union soldier. LOL Just because a soldier was at Camp Chase does not mean he was Confederate.

They have about 15 to 20 letters from unknown letters from Confederate soldiers to their families. It would take some time trying to track them down but I'm sure some of them could be tracked. There was also a diary written by a civilian started in 1862.

The civil war collection is in box 6 at the above location.

From my under standing Emory will make them digital for email for about .50 per page. Most of the letters are one to two pages in length. My time is being spent on Chase or otherwise I'd do it. But for some families out there such a letter would be priceless and some of the information in them are of interest to some folks. Most of the letters deal with the Atlanta Campaign.
