A new low for Northern Prisons

Because an author is in the process of writing a book I will disclose names. So badly did a Northern General want to capture a Confederate Officer in July of 1863 that his wife and two children were taken to a Northern Prison. The son was four years old! Making him the youngest Federal prisoner that I am aware of. This is very well documented in the Official Records of the War of the Rebellion and even mentions his age as four years old. His older sister by a few years was also held as a POW and well as their mother. Double the guards........dangerous rebels are here.
