"Professor Phil" had an ancestor in the 5th Texas Inf. and I had an ancestor in the 1st TX who was wounded at Sharpsburg. He was a captain who led 7 soldiers into battle and everyone of them was killed or wounded. Among other contributions, Phil wrote an outstanding Introduction for the book.
