This photograph was taken in 1920 in Mobile Ala. It shows Company No. 1, of the Creole Fire Department. If you read the fire truck it says "Organized 1819". It was this organization that formed the "Creole Guards" of Mobile during the Civil War who sought recognition from the Confederate Government in Virginia.
