Mississippi's Declaration of Causes

So many have used this part of the secession convention of Mississippi as proof to the cause of the war. Has anybody actually read the minutes of the convention?

1. The Ordinance of Secession was voted and adopted on the 3rd Day of the Convention.
2. On the last day, day 18, five members were assigned to write the Declaration of Causes. It was adopted without a formal reading or vote to the convention documents. The Convention was then closed.
3. Most of the convention in between was about how to collect taxes.

In 1865 Mississippi held another convention and repelled the Ordinance, Declaration and all other matters the convention passed...except one...the part about how to collect taxes...they kept that one.
