Not sure I understand the question. The bloodshed in Kansas started before the 1860 election, so if you are asking would Jackson have sent U.S. Army soldiers to intervene, then my answer is 'yes'. Jackson wanted a strong national government, but I do not believe he wanted as much as Lincoln. It would be sort of like comparing modern big government Republican leaders to big government Democrat leaders. The GOP just wants 80% of what the progressive Dems want. Perhaps Jackson wanted half of what Lincoln got. I would have to Steve Bannon.
