Re: Confederate William Newsome

I've located a household in Davidson County, headed by a Joseph M. Newsome in 1860. They had a 20 year-old son named William, a 17 year old son named James. The 1850 slave schedule shows them with 23 slaves, if I counted correctly. James would have been of service age also in 1861, can't find a record for him either. McLemore's 4th Tennessee Cavalry saw action at Chickamauga. Company B had a E.M. Newson (don't know how one could get get "Will" out of E.M.) Company E had a James Newman, Company F a James Newton.
