Southern children bury Union Battle Flag

Also from the History of Pike County, Georgia on page 338 it mentions the children of Colonel Baker of the 13th Georgia Infantry burying a Union Battle Flag in a tin box at a swamp on or near their property in 1864 for the reasoning of not knowing if Sherman's troops would enter their property in Pike County, Georgia. Colonel Baker had taken possession of the flag from an earlier engagement in the war and it was kept at his home.
