David the person I am trying to answer the states rights question, is playing word games. The constitution itself addresses slavery so the constitution & amendments are basically out. They are now asking for specific rights NOT RELATED TO SLAVERY, which in my opinion there is no right answer. I can go to the secession docs and get some specific issues, but these docs also refer to slavery. I am afraid their is no answer this person will accept.
